Global Health Impacts of Nanotechnology Law
Nanotechnology impacts daily life for everyone: My CELL PHONES! but Nanotechnology based products raise especially pressing questions for the Jewish Community.
So I look at STEM through the lens of the Jewish experience that has shaped our people over the generations.
Nanotechnology is moving so fast that we have an urgent need for the general public. Jewish community to open up discussions around nano-based products.
What does nanotechnology mean for Jewish daily life? What questions do we ask about the nanomedicines that alter genetics or enable people to print replacement body parts potentially reaching the threshold for infinite life? Do Jewish values and culture have something to say in the greater societal discourse?

Nanotechnology makes it possible to address the world’s most pressing needs like hunger, disease, and homelessness through nano-enabled innovations in food processing and storage to the ability to 3-D print a house and build it in ONE day. This is both exciting and scary when one contemplates the real legal, environmental and moral ramifications of implementation.
My book (here at the Jewish Book Council) is designed to enable readers to weigh in on the discussion and begin asking the questions that society must answer.
I look forward to speaking about whatever facet of Nanotechnology matters to your community — from cosmetics to spacecraft exploring the cosmos…I invite you to join me on this multidisciplinary scientific adventure that takes law and humanity where no science has gone before!
